Situation
Amdocs wanted to use an acquisition to build its customer base in China and needed a platform through which it could use a local sales team to promote Amdoc¡¯s products.
The Company wanted to present a win-win transaction that would balance the interests of Amdocs, the target company and the exiting investors. Amdocs also wanted to price the acquisition at a reasonable valuation.
China Renaissance Solution
China Renaissance first helped Amdocs identify and negotiate with a short list of potential targets. We then came up with a structure that allowed the financial investors to exit while incentivizing management to remain with the company. Finally, we helped management work with the Company to secure the transaction, even though another bidder was offering a higher price.
